Crawford & Company announces executive appointments in Canada

Crawford & Company has announced new executive appointments for its Canadian operations.

The company has appointed Greg Smith as chief operating officer for Canada. In this role, he will report to Pat Van Bakel, president of Canada and loss adjusting for North America. Smith will be responsible for leading Crawford’s operation throughout Canada. Smith joined Crawford in 1998 and has held a variety of roles in the company. Most recently, he served as chief client officer for Canada.

Heather Matthews has been appointed chief client officer for Canada. She will report to Smith, and will be responsible for the sales, account management, and marketing teams in the country. Matthews has been with Crawford for more than 28 years, most recently serving as senior vice president for the National Claims Management Centre.

Andrea Aitken has been appointed vice president, TPA Canada. She will report to Smith and is responsible for Crawford’s TPA business in Canada. Aitken has been with the company for more than 18 years. She most recently served as vice president of inside claims.

Jim Eso, Paul Hancock, and Cortney Young will continue in their current roles and report to Smith.
