Global claims management service provider Crawford & Company (Canada) has added two new members to its Global Technical Services (GTS) division.
John Valeriote and Ashley Misurka join Crawford Canada’s GTS team of over 75 highly technical claims adjusters who specialize in large or complex losses.
“As well-known claims professionals with extensive industry experience, the capabilities of John and Ashley in commercial property, casualty, professional liability and other disciplines not only complements but elevates Crawford’s expertise in these spaces,” said Crawford & Company (Canada) senior vice president, property & casualty Jim Eso. “They are welcome additions to our team.”

Valeriote has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, specializing in multi-line, complex claims. He has held a number of roles at major insurance carriers and independent adjusting firms. He holds a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation, a Financial Risk Management (FRM) designation and a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University. A release said that he will lead the Crawford Canada property appraisal practice and handle complex claims as needed.
Misurka, meanwhile, has over eight years of experience. She holds the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations. As part of the GTS division, her role involves managing Crawford Canada’s newly established property appraisal and claims services branch.
“John and Ashley both have strong professional backgrounds supported by highly technical skills,” said Global Technical Services (Canada) vice-president Paul Hancock. “They will do great things at Crawford and we are happy to have them join our team.”
