When the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations went looking for a new board member skilled in improving IT strategies and systems, it turned to this major insurer.

CSIO Chairman Steve Whitelaw, Vice President of Business Solutions at Travelers Canada, placed the call to Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company, and found CSIO’s latest board member, Cam Loeppky, Vice President, Information Services.

Loeppky brings significant leadership skills and expertise in implementing and improving IT strategies and systems, says Whitelaw, adding that as a strategic and innovative executive, Cam is committed to delivering effective and cost-beneficial technology solutions that enhance the business operations of all stakeholders.

“We are delighted to welcome Cam to the CSIO Board,” says Vice-Chairman Ted Harman, President of Accent Insurance Solutions. “Cam’s extensive industry knowledge and proven track record of IT success will provide invaluable support to CSIO. We look forward to his contributions as CSIO executes on its strategic priorities to strengthen the competitiveness of the broker distribution channel.”

As a longstanding member of CSIO, Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company maintains its support for the development and implementation of standards in Canada and will continue to strengthen the depth and representation of the Board.

“Joining CSIO as a Board member is a wonderful opportunity to promote interoperability between brokers and insurers,” says Loeppky. “Industry standardization is tremendously important for the broker channel to realize efficiencies and improve its competitive position, and I look forward to working with CSIO and its Board of Directors on achieving that goal.”
