Echelon Financial Holdings has announced that chief financial officer and senior management team member Alvin Sharma has resigned.

Sharma has decided to pursue another career as a CFO in the life insurance industry, bringing an end to his nearly six years of service with Echelon.

“Alvin has been a key member of our management team during Echelon’s recent growth, and we would like to thank him for all his contributions,” said Echelon president and CEO Serge Lavoie. “We will miss him greatly, and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

A release said that Sharma’s resignation is effective September 14; Echelon will immediately search for his successor. Current president of finance and corporate controller Patrick Espeut will act as interim CFO.
