Parents who have taken out tenant’s insurance might want to share this with their children attending university for the first time – a list of fines associated with activities considered to be a part of frosh week.

Ontario’s York Regional Police has issued an expense list this week, listing the fines associated with activities considered to be part of the college rituals of hazing and frosh week.

Just a few of those activities include starting a bonfire with your dorm room sofa (up to $5,000, jail, or both), forcing a pet to smoke marijuana (up to $5,000, jail, or both) streaking ($100 to $5,000), putting cement in a laundry machine ($100 to $5,000), and hotboxing the bathroom (up to $5,000, jail, or both).

“This is by no means a legal document and is intended to inform post-secondary students of potential consequences for breaking the law,” states the police notice at the bottom. “Some figures may vary based on circumstance.”
