Genworth MI Canada has announced it has officially changed its name to Sagen MI Canada.

The name change comes after the company amended its articles in accordance with the Canada Business Corporations Act. During a shareholder meeting late last year, shareholders passed a special resolution that authorized an amendment to the company’s articles in order to effect the name change.

Sagen MI Canada’s common shares are expected to begin trading under the new name on or before February 09, 2021. Its common shares will continue to trade under the TSX ticker symbol “MIC.”
