Hub International Limited, a fast-growing international insurance brokerage and financial services firm, has today announced its acquisition of Drayton Valley Insurance Agency, Ltd. (Drayton Valley Insurance Agency). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Drayton Valley, Alberta, Drayton Valley Insurance Agency is an independent firm providing personal and commercial insurance to clients in the region.

As per the terms of the acquisition, the brokerage’s owner Dale Jones and the Drayton Valley Insurance Agency team will join Hub Prairies. Meanwhile, Drayton Valley Insurance Agency will be referred to as Drayton Valley Insurance Agency, a Hub International company.

It’s far from the first insurance deal Hub has made in Canada. In December, the group snapped up Felton et Associes Assurances Inc. Based in Brossard, Quebec, Felton et Associes supports both commercial and personal insurance clients. The company brought specialist insight into several sectors, including construction, real estate, and architecture and engineering. Under the terms of the deal, Maxime Felton, president of Felton et Associes, and his team will integrate with HUB Quebec.

In November of last year, Hub appointed Mark Dutton as president of HUB Canada West, overseeing operations within British Columbia. In this role, Dutton is responsible for driving the regional strategy and fostering the company’s growth across the western Canadian market.
