Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a division of US-based Liberty Mutual Insurance, has created a new role to establish a company leader for its Montreal operations.

Aiden Lanzon has been appointed to the new position of Montreal branch leader. In his new role, Lanzon will be responsible for leading LIU’s Quebec employees and working with brokers to expand the company’s range of products.

“With 10 employees in Montreal and a commitment to grow in Quebec, we recognized the need for local leadership,” said LIU president Garth Pepper.

Lanzon was previously the leader of LIU’s Quebec casualty team – a role he had served since 2017.

LIU offers a range of insurance products across various lines, including property & casualty, management & professional liability, environmental, financial lines, crisis management, construction, marine, surety, alternative risk management, and US workers’ compensation.

Together with Ironshore Canada, LIU is a part of Global Risk Solutions Canada – itself a part of Liberty Mutual’s Global Risk Solutions division.
