A Cambridge-based insurer revamped its website – and it reflects a shift in moving to where today’s insurance customer is conducting business.

“We’re no longer in a world where we access from one point,” says Mike Pereira, the marketing and communications specialist with the Cowan Insurance Group. “That is an important change for us.”

Cowan announced the launch of their new website, www.cowangroup.ca, earlier this month, with an eye to making it more mobile-friendly to improve access.

“One of the big changes for us was making the site mobile-friendly,” Pereira told Insurance Business. “Which really made it a lot easier for people to access, and also to interact with. That was a huge step forward, and in this day and age, it is so important for organizations to have their information available on as many platforms as possible.”

The redesign includes social media links like Twitter, a Thought Leadership blog and video capability.

The new site’s features include a user-friendly design and easy-to-use navigation allowing people to get information, access the new Claims Centre, and easily request a quote in both French and English for any product or service.

“We are excited to have video-hosting capability on the website now,” he says. “It is important to us to have as many good avenues as possible to get our information out there for people to access. It invites people into the conversation.”
