It’s all systems go for commercial insurance brokerage Navacord Corp. The deal-hungry firm has today announced its fourth acquisition of 2020, revealing a definitive agreement to buy Edmonton-based brokerage Blanket Insurance Ltd.

Blanket Insurance is a niche brokerage that was founded in 2008. It provides a full range of customized insurance services and solutions across personal and commercial lines, including property, automobile, and specialty insurance products. Following the closing of the transaction, it will operate as a division of Lloyd Sadd Insurance, a Navacord broker partner.

“We’re delighted to welcome Blanket to the Lloyd Sadd team” said Chris Huebner, Lloyd Sadd president and CEO. “Blanket’s complimentary expertise will enable us to continue to find opportunities to grow.”

Navacord executive chairman, T. Marshall Sadd, hinted that the brokerage giant has big growth plans for 2020. He added: “Our model continues to resonate with entrepreneurial brokers and we look forward to 2020 being another strong growth year for new partners joining our business.”
