New Brunswick minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Bill Fraser promised Wednesday that he would come up with solutions for a private home that has been struck by automobiles nine times on separate occasions.

"Oh absolutely it's an issue," Fraser said. "Not only for the safety of the Nobles and their family, but the safety for the vehicles that are coming around that turn as well."

The house in question lies approximately 35 kilometres south of Fredericon, next to a tricky sharp turn that has led nine motorists driving into and through the property.

Minister Fraser visited Terry and Maureen Noble, the owners of the home, Wednesday night.

Last month, a car plowed through the Nobles’ home for the ninth occasion—the latest car crash the property has sustained, reported CBC News.

Although that particular section of the road was designated a 30 km/h area—an effort to prevent more cars from ramming into the Nobles’ home—an automobile still drove into the house, knocking a freezer out into the yard, and drove out through another wall. The runaway vehicle stopped after it had collided with a power pole on the other side of the house.

No one was injured from the accident.

Fraser remarked that provincial engineers are currently working on solutions to making the almost-90-degree turn safer. He also said that he expects to have options presented to him in several days.
"I don't have a firm timeline now, but I'm hoping by late next week I will have options to look at and consider."

Insurers are pitching in for the rebuilding of the damaged part of the Noble home.
