Sedgwick has appointed John Slattery to the role of vice president of condominium and strata accounts for the company’s Canadian accounts.

Slattery has been with the company since 2016, and was promoted from his most recent role as executive general adjuster. As executive general adjuster, he oversaw condominium claims and offered risk and education management seminars to brokers, property managers, and condominium boards.

With more than 25 years of experience in adjusting and quality assurance, Slattery spent the majority of his career as a multiline adjuster handling property, auto, and accident benefit claims. Before he started focusing on condominiums, he was an executive general adjuster for commercial and residential claims.

Slattery is also the recipient of several designations and certifications, such as the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) designation, as well as Xactimate certifications on techniques and standards of damage control and building restoration. He is the incumbent Toronto delegate on the executive board of the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association.

“I’m thrilled to announce John’s well-deserved promotion; his expertise has allowed him to develop a high level of trust with property managers and clients alike,” said Sedgwick Canada president Mike Alwyn, who added that Slattery’s leadership will allow the condo and strata division to deliver “top-tier client service” while contributing to the company’s growth.

“I am honoured to be part of the Sedgwick team in Canada and to leading the growth of our condominium and strata division’s market presence,” said Slattery. “I look forward to bringing a unique perspective to my new role, all while supporting the evolving needs of our clients and customers.”
