It’s been a busy year for Sedgwick. After acquiring global loss adjusting leader Cunningham Lindsey, the company has turned to picking a president to head up its combined business operations in Canada.

Michael Holden isn’t new to Sedgwick. He’s been at the company since 2016 and has led both Sedgwick’s and subsidiary Vericlaim’s operations and business expansion in Canada. This latest appointment is the next step in a career spanning three decades, during which time he’s had a foot in every aspect of the insurance business – from brokerage and claims management to underwriting and business development.

“Mike Holden has been a critical member of our management team since he joined Sedgwick, playing an instrumental role in leading our growth in the Canadian market,” said Tom Simoncic, Sedgwick president of property for the Americas. “He is the natural choice to lead our combined operations across Canada.”

Holden was also previously the CEO of Granite Claims Solutions, and currently boasts a lengthy list of memberships to key insurance organizations, including the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters, Insurance Institute of Canada, Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association, and the Canada and Ontario Risk & Insurance Management Society.

“I have full confidence in his ability to oversee our teams in providing responsive, best-in-class business solutions to our customers and expanding our services for customers across North America,” added Simoncic.
