Global specialty insurer and reinsurer SiriusPoint has announced the appointment of Bronek Masojada as chair of the company's board of directors.
Masojada, an industry veteran with over 30 years of leadership experience in the insurance market, joined the board earlier this year. Sharon Ludlow, who joined the board in February 2021 and has been serving as interim chair since May 2022, will continue as a non-executive director and chair of SiriusPoint’s audit committee.

Sharon Ludlow expressed her gratitude for serving as interim chair and expressed her confidence in Masojada and Scott Egan, SiriusPoint’s CEO.
Masojada also acknowledged Sharon Ludlow's contributions.

Masojada, who retired as chief executive of Hiscox Ltd in 2021 after nearly 30 years with the global specialist insurer and reinsurer, brings extensive experience in building businesses and driving strong performance and culture. He played a significant role in growing Hiscox from a single office in London to a global presence with revenues reaching almost US$5 billion.
In addition to his role at SiriusPoint, Masojada serves as the chair of Placing Platform Limited, an industry utility driving digitization in the London insurance market.
SiriusPoint recently announced the appointment of Nestor Lopez as chief technology officer.
