Sonnet Insurance last week said that it is collaborating with a famous street artist to create “a unique painting inspired by optimism.”

As part of its partnership with MURAL Festival in Montreal, Sonnet is working with renowned UK-born street artist INSA to create the mural.

INSA will produce the art utilizing his innovative “GIF-iti” style; once complete, it will be possible to view the mural with INSA’s augmented reality app to bring the artwork to life.

The artist creates his GIF-iti by painting and repainting walls several times, each time introducing changes to the picture. INSA then photographs each change in the sequence they were painted. With his proprietary app, viewers can see these images as a series of animated frames.

Sonnet Insurance, an online direct brand of Economical, helped its parent company win the 2017 Insurance Canada Technology Award and the People’s Choice Award.
