Starr Insurance Companies has named Paul O’Ryan as territory manager of the company’s Canadian general aviation business.

A release noted that the appointment took effect January 06, 2020, and that O’Ryan will be based in Toronto, reporting to Starr Insurance Companies senior vice-president, chief underwriting officer GA/CR Kyle Sparks.

According to Sparks, the territory manager role was created to allow Starr to source business directly in Canada.

“Mr. O’Ryan will be boots on the ground, allowing us to work directly with Canadian brokers developing new channels and strengthening our relationships,” Sparks added.

O’Ryan has over 20 years of both aviation and insurance experience.
