Global broker WTW has announced the formation of Strategic Client Engagement Leaders (SCELs), a newly created team focused on driving the growth of large, complex clients within the 12 industry vertical divisions of Corporate Risk & Broking North America (CRB NA).

The expanded structure will support the business’s goal of being a market-leading, industry-focused broker, WTW said.

The SCEL role combines sales, strategic consulting and executive stewardship, WTW said. The SCEL team will report to Louise Pennington, head of strategic client engagement.

The team includes:

  • Ken Gould: Joining WTW from Lockton in October, Gould has led large, complex risk management client engagement for 35 years
  • Nikki Hall Jones: Jones joins the SCEL team from WTW’s Health, Wealth and Career (HWC) team, where she served as part of the Insurance Investment Advisory Group. She also spent more than 19 years working for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners
  • Michael Reese: Reese joins the SCEL team from WTW’s HWC investment team. He has worked for WTW for more than 15 years and was most recently responsible for driving revenue growth within the company’s “Fund of Funds” solution and advisory business as a member of the investments team
  • Lori Seidenberg: Joining WTW earlier this month from Blackrock, where she served as global director of insurance in the private market funds vertical, Seidenberg also currently serves as the president of the New York chapter of RIMS. She has also served on the board of the Spencer Foundation for several years. Seidenberg’s risk management experience includes strength in financial institutions and asset management, as well as the real estate, infrastructure and energy industries
  • Angela Taylor: Taylor joined WTW in May of last year. She previously served as global risk manager for Equitable Life Insurance. Taylor has expertise in risk management across multiple industries and is a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council for RIMS. She also serves as a board member of the National African American Insurance Association in Charlotte, N.C.

“This SCEL team is an outstanding group of seasoned professionals with diverse backgrounds and experience, driven to significantly grow the business while delivering exceptional client service and strategic advice,” Pennington said. “I am thrilled to work with this team to help our clients navigate the ever-changing risk environment.”

The new team is the latest addition to the CRB NA roster. Earlier this month, WTW announced the appointment of Despina Buganski as head of personal lines for CRB NA. In December, WTW announced the appointment of Chris Condello as head of the business unit’s Asian risk division.
