The Empire Life Insurance Company has established a partnership with Magik-Net – a provider of tech solutions to the group insurance industry – to develop an application program interface (API) for third party administrators (TPAs).

The API will allow TPAs to easily and quickly administer benefit plans through real-time connectivity. With the new platform, TPAs can meet customer requirements more efficiently, accurately and securely. It also allows carriers like Empire Life to better serve customers, a release said, since less time and effort can be spent on processing files and confirming transactions when they can be accomplished in real time.

“Empire Life is on a mission to make group benefits simple, fast and easy for Canadians,” said Empire Life director of group digital channels Christine Wyatt. “Working with Magik-Net to securely transfer data directly to Empire Life back-end systems will greatly enhance the experience for TPAs in our mutual network.”

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Empire Life and look forward to expanding our relationship,” said Magik-Net general manager Marc Giguère, who also mentioned that the collaboration “will bring a whole new level of business opportunity” for both companies and their clients.
