In anticipation of a busy hospitality season, CHES Special Risk has unveiled a comprehensive motel insurance package spanning property, business interruption (BI), liability, crime, and equipment breakdown.

As part of the package, property insurance covers the physical structure of the motel and its contents, safeguarding motel proprietors against losses from fire, theft, vandalism, and natural disasters. BI insurance, meanwhile, is designed to compensate motel owners for lost income and operating expenses in scenarios where the business must temporarily shut down due to a covered peril.

Liability Insurance is another crucial component, protecting against claims resulting from bodily injury or property damage on the premises, covering the financial implications of accidents and injuries to guests.

The package also includes crime Insurance, which offers protection against losses from criminal activities such as theft and employee dishonesty, and equipment breakdown Insurance, ensuring motel owners can afford to repair or replace essential equipment like HVAC systems and laundry machines.

Rachana Patel, vice president at CHES Special Risk, highlighted the value of the proposition: “With our motel insurance package, motel owners can rest assured knowing that their properties and guests are protected against unforeseen events.

“We understand the challenges faced by the hospitality industry, and our goal is to provide tailored insurance solutions that meet the specific needs of motel owners.”
