H.W. Kaufman Group has appointed Kori M. Johanson to the newly created role of corporate vice-president, chief compliance officer.

Johanson will supervise the company’s compliance team and be in charge of corporate and regulatory compliance. She will also oversee Kaufman and its subsidiaries’ government affairs and state insurance taxation.

She will be based at the company’s headquarters in Detroit/Farmington Hills, Michigan and report to H.W. Kaufman Group chairman, president, and CEO Alan Jay Kaufman, a release said.

“The creation of this new position for H.W. Kaufman Group and our companies is a valuable leadership addition as we continue to expand our global business,” said Kaufman. “Kori’s deep expertise in compliance, regulatory and state government relations will be critical for our worldwide compliance strategy, especially as the complexities of our business increase.”
