Shane is Vice President of HUB International’s Complex Risk unit in Toronto, Ontario with nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.

 

Shane began his career as an insurance agent and insurance broker providing a variety of commercial insurance products and services. In 2010 he accepted a Branch and Sales Manager position with a brokerage in Barrie, Ontario before leaving the industry for a few years to found and lead a brewing company in Newmarket. Shane returned to the industry in 2020 as Agency Sales Manager for a large North American insurance carrier before returning to the broker side as Vice President of Corporate Expansion and Commercial Lines. He joined HUB’s Complex Risk team in 2023 as our lead environmental specialist.

 

In addition to his years of experience, Shane studied marketing and business management at George Brown College, as well as business and commerce through the University of Windsor. He is a Canadian Accredited insurance Broker (CAIB) and a Certified Environmental Strategist (CeS).

 

He has also given back to his community as a volunteer hockey coach, volunteered as a big brother with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Canada, and is currently a Sustainability Board Member with Responsible Distribution Canada.
