Born and raised in Punjab, India, Simar Sidhu wanted to experience life abroad, so he moved to Canada in 2011, initially working as a cashier at a gas station. Confident that he had a brighter future in store, Sidhu gravitated to the insurance industry, which provided him with a sense of belonging and confidence. After ranking as a top producer for two consecutive years, he decided to branch out and founded Diamond Insurance Group.
Outside of the office, Sidhu is active in politics and is an executive member of the International Film Festival of South Asia. He’s also a member of the Punjabi Business and Professionals Association.
