Arrowhead General Insurance Agency has tapped Mark Kaufman (pictured), as the new chief actuary for the National Programs division of Brown & Brown.

Kaufman, a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), has a career spanning over 30 years and encompassing various specialty lines of business. He has held leadership positions at companies such as commercial lines CFO at Nationwide, chief pricing actuary at QBE NA, and chief actuary at CNA for the specialty division.

According to his LinkedIn, Kaufman holds a BS in mathematics from Eastern Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

“Our core value proposition as an MGA is to deliver our carrier partners superior underwriting returns, and to do that, we have invested heavily into analytics including actuarial, CAT modeling and data science. Mark joins us in a newly created position to take us even farther, as we continue to grow and innovate across all four segments of our business in National Programs. I am thrilled to welcome Mark to the team,” said Jimmy Curcio, National Programs chief strategy and analytics officer.
