Insurer USI Insurance Services recently announced the acquisition of Accelerated Benefits to expand its footprint in the Ohio employee benefits market.

The two decades old Accelerated Benefits will retain its presence in Dublin, Ohio as it joins the USI group to provide bespoke offerings that fit the latter’s delivery of brokerage and consulting services to clients in the Midwest.

“Customers will continue to enjoy their benefits programs and have access to USI’s expanded…employee benefits, retirement consulting and personal risk solutions,” Accelerated Benefits president Thomas P. Wagoner said in a statement.

Meanwhile, USI Midwest chief Thomas D. Cassady, noted in the same statement that “we are pleased to have Tom and his team join us, and I look forward to combining our strengths to extend USI’s…presence…in the Midwest region.”
