If the biggest insurance companies were university students receiving their midterm marks, there would be a lot of celebrating as they headed into spring break. Across the board – except perhaps one or two exceptions of insurers whose problems have been brewing for a while – these ‘students’ would be at the top of their classes for their Q4 2019 and full year financial results. However, a storm is brewing for the years ahead, even as the skies look clear now.
