Robert Wilson (pictured) is climbing the ranks at Chubb.

Having joined the firm more than a decade ago, the former business development manager for Chubb Global Markets (CGM) has now been named as the unit’s head of underwriting operations and will take the role of deputy chief underwriting officer.

His new position will see him assume responsibility for growing the business and furthering its operational resilience – the unit includes the London Market wholesale and specialty business. He is set to report to division president of CGM Jason Keen and will be based in London.

Keen commented that it was right that the talents of Wilson – who has also enjoyed tenures at the likes of Aon, JLT and Marsh – were rewarded.

“One of Chubb’s many strengths is our ability to develop and promote from within and acknowledge talent across the company,” said Keen. “Robert’s appointment is testament to this and reflects the enormous contribution he has made already to the success of CGM. I am delighted to appoint Robert to his new role and look forward to working closely with him to navigate the wholesale market’s challenging headwinds and trading conditions, while ensuring we continue to deliver for our clients and producer partners.”
