The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has appointed Kathryn Sinclair to the role of vice-president, strategy & operation.

As vice-president of strategy & operations, Sinclair will be responsible for leading CSIO initiatives that will drive improvements in the broker channel. To that end, she will oversee strategic and operational action plans and projects, a release said, working with internal and external stakeholders, as well as member subject matter experts to achieve organizational goals.

Sinclair joins CSIO from aha insurance, an insurance broker in Waterloo, ON. At aha insurance, she led the development and launch of one of the first online property and auto brokerages in the Canadian marketplace. Sinclair was initially vice-president, operations, at aha insurance, later serving as chief operating officer.

She has more than 18 years of experience in P&C insurance. Prior to aha insurance, Sinclair held leadership positions at Intact Financial Corporation and Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP). She has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Waterloo.
