Hub International has acquired the family-owned insurance firm Stalco Insurance.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Stalco Insurance has locations in Wainwright, Provost and Kitscoty, AB. The firm offers both commercial and personal insurance, and serves various industries including agribusiness.

Following the acquisition, Stalco Insurance COO Adam Doyle will join Hub International Canada West (Hub Canada West). He will report to Hub Canada West vice president of operations Sarah Cameron.

The acquisition of Stalco is part of Hub’s strategy of expanding its specialty practices through organic growth and acquisitions.

Last month, Hub International acquired Mumby Insurance Brokers – a Waterloo, Ontario-based P&C and employee benefits brokerage. Mumby specializes in serving architects, landscape architects, engineers and specification writers.
