Hub International has acquired Wessex Financial in Calgary, Alberta.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Wessex Financial is an independent employee benefits, life, and living benefits firm. The company serves the family and business markets throughout Alberta, specializing in association benefit planning, individual member services, critical awareness and financial literacy programs.
Following the transaction, Wessex Financial president Wayne Wiebe will join Hub International Canada West.
The transaction is the latest move by Hub to expand its geographic footprint in Canada, as well as strengthen its industry and product expertise.
In February, Hub International acquired insurance broker Galon Insurance Brokers, comprised of the firms John Galon Insurance Services and Galon Management. With locations in both Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Galon Insurance Brokers is a full-service insurance brokerage that offers personal, commercial, and agribusiness insurance. The firm also provides other professional services, such as government auto.
