The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) has announced new members of its executive committee and board of directors for 2019 to 2020.

Chris Floyd of Kitchener has been appointed as the new IBAC chair while Kent Rowe of St John’s has been named as the new president.

The executive committee has also welcomed Robyn Young of Calgary as president elect as well as Linda Dolan of Port Alberni and Julia Marshall of Strathmore as vice presidents.

“IBAC’s executive committee and board of directors are dedicated individuals from across the country who bring their knowledge, experience and insight to the national table,” said Peter Braid, chief executive officer of IBAC.

“I look forward to working closely with them to further strengthen the insurance broker profession and promote the value of brokers as trusted and respected insurance experts.”

Other appointments to IBAC’s board of directors for 2019 to 2020 were confirmed at the annual general meeting in Winnipeg MB on September 19.

The new members include Troy Wotherspoon of Surrey, Paul Vanderhooft of Lethbridge, Dave Pettigrew of Regina, Ryan Garriock of Winnipeg, Jeff Gatcke of Kingston, Roger Hacala of Toronto, Mathieu Brunet of Laval, Brian Schryer of Bathurst, Gina McFetridge of Halifax, David Cooke of Charlottetown, and Kelly Hickman of Marystown.
