Many insurers are recognizing the value of revitalizing and updating their online corporate face. One insurer has done just that – with an eye to not only serving customers better, but brokers as well.

Aviva Canada recently announced the re-launch of AvivaCanada.com, a new website that includes a number of enhanced features designed to serve both customers and brokers better.

“We continue to examine how we meet the needs of our customers and broker partners,” says Debora Hendrickson, senior vice president of customer and marketing at Aviva Canada. “Our enhanced website design engages all of our audiences, on many aspects of the insurance business, like never before.”

The website now features a responsive design, optimized for mobile, tablet and desktop viewing. Content on AvivaCanada.com will also be presented to the website viewer based on their location, making the site experience more tailored to their needs, says Hendrickson.

The site also features a new more streamlined and simple quoting process allowing customers to connect with brokers and receive quotes immediately – 24 hours a day.

“We’re excited to be presenting this interactive platform,” says Hendrickson, “and want AvivaCanada.com to be a must-visit destination for insurance needs and information.”

Of growing importance for insurers and brokers alike is the interaction on social media, like Facebook and Twitter.

The new AvivaCanada.com also features full social media integration throughout the website. With one of the Canadian insurance industry’s strongest social media footprints, Hendrickson points out, all components of Aviva Canada’s social channels will be featured in the new site, including corporate and Aviva Community Fund Twitter and Facebook feeds, as well as YouTube and LinkedIn content. Of interest to Aviva’s broker network will be the Broker Advantage section, which is designed to make it easier to find and connect with the best brokers in a customer’s community.

“This page also serves up benefits and value propositions for why a customer should choose a broker,” says Hendrickson.

For Aviva clients, the new ‘Customer Corner’ section, will focus on supporting customers with valuable information and resources through a regular blog, containing helpful safety and property protection tips; Catastrophe Support, where customers in an adversely affected area can turn for tips and how they can access support; Claims Support, where customers can connect with us to make a claim; and a Fraud Prevention section that alerts consumers to potential fraud and how Aviva is taking action against it.

“And we have a section that outlines how we are supporting our communities,” says Hendrickson.
