Rogers Insurance is holding a contest over social media to mark its 40th anniversary.

The contest, named #RogersDreamBig, invites local participants in Alberta to upload a video or photo on the company’s Facebook page detailing what they would want to do if they were given $5,000. The winner of the contest will get a chance to fulfill their dreams, with Rogers Insurance providing a cash reward.

Numerous contest entries have already been submitted – featured contestant dreams included family vacations, business investments, funding for philanthropic projects, child adoption and, in one case, a family hopes to use the prize money to rebuild after losing everything to the Fort McMurray wildfires.

“We want to celebrate our anniversary by giving back to our community and supporting one of these heartwarming aspirations,” said Rogers Insurance president Lee Rogers.

The contest is similar to a program Rogers Insurance holds for its own employees, wherein four winners with promising dreams and ambitions are chosen by year’s end.

“We are proudly Alberta based, with offices in Calgary, Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, and Fort McMurray – and we want all Albertans to get the chance to Dream Big in 2017,” added Rogers.

The contest will run until August 01, 2017, with the winner to be announced on August 03, 2017.
