Rogers Insurance has appointed a senior executive from Western Financial Group as its new director of finance.

Catherine Rogers spent the majority of her career as the executive vice president, chief financial officer, and chief administrative officer for Western Financial Group, having joined the company at its inception in 1996.

The various executive positions that she held over the course of Western’s 18 years of business greatly contributed to the company that Western is today, Rogers said in a release.

“Catherine is a valuable asset to the organization; her extensive experience in the insurance industry will play a critical role in the growth and development of Rogers Insurance,” the company said.

Rogers will provide the insurer with comprehensive financial leadership and direction, leveraging her expertise in strategy, finance, team development, corporate development, acquisitions, and investor relations.

Rogers, who was appointed to the new role in August, is a dynamic individual who will also be an important cultural fit for Rogers Insurance, the company said.

She volunteers with multiple organizations including Habitat for Humanity and the Calgary Food Bank, and her free time is spent playing golf and tennis with friends and family, including her two children, Robert and Samantha.

“We look forward to working with Catherine and are proud to have her on our team,” the company said.
