Westland Insurance Group has appointed Paul Plischke to serve as the company’s chief information officer, effective June 01, 2020.

As CIO, Plischke will be responsible for driving innovation and building an IT transformational strategy for Westland Insurance, the company said in a statement.

Plischke first joined Westland in 2018, and had served as acting CIO since October 2019. He has more than 20 years of IT management and leadership experience. Prior to joining Westland Insurance, he served as portfolio design lead for the University of British Columbia, and as a program manager for Pacific Blue Cross – both on a contractual basis.

“These are exciting times for our growing company, and we are pleased to welcome Paul Plischke as our permanent chief information officer,” said Westland Insurance CEO Jason Wubs. “I believe that our strategic investments in leadership will continue to position Westland Insurance for success in this rapidly evolving industry.”
