The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) has announced that Wynward Insurance Group will maintain its support of the Broker Identity Program at the full partner level.

Wynward’s continued sponsorship will enable IBAC to advance its nationwide advertising campaign aimed at raising awareness about the invaluable services insurance brokers offer to their clients.

Furthermore, Wynward will contribute to vital IBAC initiatives such as technology leadership, professional development for brokers, and federal advocacy efforts that seek to maintain a fair and competitive marketplace.

Commenting on the announcement, Wynward president and CEO Darryl Levy highlighted the company’s dedication to strengthening its partnerships with brokers across the country.

“Wynward continues to increase both the number and depth of our broker partnerships from coast to coast,” said Levy. “Our ongoing support as a full partner of the Broker Identity Program recognizes all the great initiatives being led by IBAC and is a testament to our full commitment to the broker channel.”

IBAC CEO Peter Braid also expressed gratitude for Wynward’s ongoing partnership and support for insurance brokers.

“We greatly appreciate Wynward’s ongoing partnership and their enthusiastic support for insurance brokers,” said Braid. “By delivering their products only through the broker channel, Wynward ensures that consumers benefit from the expert advice that brokers provide. Their renewed investment will contribute to IBAC’s efforts to support and promote the broker profession in Canada.”

Several other insurers have maintained their support for IBAC and the Broker Identity Program this year, including Portage Mutual, HSB Canada, Trisura, Gore Mutual, and Intact Insurance.

In a recent interview with Insurance Business, Braid said backing the program has far-reaching advantages for “insurers who are looking to get their product in the hands of consumers by capable and empathetic brokers.”

“These insurers see the benefits of supporting this cause,” he said. “Beyond that, the companies want to help us in our efforts to help strengthen the industry for insurers and clients alike.”
