Sedgwick has announced the appointment of Kumar Siva as senior vice president for third party administration (TPA) services and desktop solutions in Canada.

With over 20 years of experience in the insurance services sector, Siva will be responsible for developing TPA claim services for Canadian and US corporate clients and the London market, as well as the company’s fast-growing desktop solutions in Canada.

“Kumar is well-known in our industry for delivering excellence to clients, and that approach is right in line with our ‘caring counts’ philosophy,” said Mike Alwyn, Sedgwick CEO for Canada.

Siva joins Sedgwick with wide-ranging industry experience that includes overseeing service delivery to Canadian national insurers as a chief operating officer, as well as holding other senior leadership positions in business excellence, vendor management and national independent adjusting operations.

“He will be a valued member of our executive management team,” Alwyn added.

Commenting on his appointment, Siva said he is ready to return to the independent adjusting industry and expressed excitement over his new role with Sedgwick.

“Sedgwick is known as the global leader in claims, risk management and complementary services that provide clients with solutions to complex challenges,” he said. “My extensive experience as an independent adjuster focused on business excellence and as a national claims vendor for an insurer has given me a thorough understanding of clients’ needs and the processes and strategies needed to meet and exceed their expectations.”

Along with Siva’s appointment, Sedgwick also announced that its senior vice president of brand protection, Chris Harvey, had been appointed to the executive committee for the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) after serving on their board of directors for three years.

“I am honored to continue to collaborate with an exemplary group of industry experts and to serve with other top consumer production and safety professionals from around the world,” Harvey said.

Earlier this year, Sedgwick announced the appointment of Tom Simoncic as president of its property and international business.
