Hub International has acquired JM Rose Insurance Agency Limited, dba usefulideas.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Based in Toronto, Ontario, usefulideas is a full-service business consultancy, employee benefits, and group retirement firm. Following the acquisition, usefulideas principal and senior benefits consultant Joanne Rose will join Hub International Ontario Limited. She will report to Hub Ontario president of employee benefits Matt Lievers.

“usefulideas will be a great addition to our growing employee benefits and retirement team in Canada,” said Hub Ontario executive chairman Gregory Belton. “The expertise and market relationships that usefulideas has developed over the years will benefit our clients as they continue to seek a genuinely unique and differentiated service offering.”

Hub International said in a statement that this acquisition continues its momentum in expanding its best-in-class employee benefits and group retirement solutions in Canada.

Last month, Hub acquired the construction-specialized insurance firm Vestas Financial Services in Quebec. The acquisition enhanced Hub’s specialty practice in Canada.
