BrokerLink is back on the acquisition trail.

The P&C brokerage giant has today revealed two Ontario-based deals, welcoming Combius Insurance Inc. (Combius) into its ranks, while also taking over the Pickering, Ontario book of business from Newman, Oliver & McCarten Insurance Brokers Ltd. (Newman Insurance).

Combius is a full-service broker, which offers personal home, auto and commercial insurance in the Newmarket community. The firm’s president, Jason Hinchliffe, commented: “Providing our customers with excellent and customized service has always been our focus. Joining BrokerLink will not only help us continue to provide the quality of service our customers expect, but will also widen the range of insurance products we will be able to offer.”

Similar to Combius, Newman Insurance’s Pickering branch offers tailored insurance services for personal home, auto, commercial and farm insurance. The brokerage has been servicing the local community since 2006.

“Welcoming Combius and Newman Insurance’s Pickering location allows us to grow our presence in Ontario,” said Joe D’Annunzio, president of BrokerLink. “Not only will we be increasing our service in Newmarket, but we will now be able to serve customers in Pickering, where we plan to create long-lasting relationships.”

Both transactions were effective December 01. Terms were not disclosed.
