Onlia – a Canadian insurance company which offers home and auto coverage online – has formed a partnership with fraud and risk solution company FRISS.

The partnership will allow Onlia to digitize its risk assessment, which ultimately improves its underwriting, fraud detection, and claims processing operations.

“At Onlia, our goal is to simplify insurance for the customer,” said Onlia CEO Pieter Louter. “Working with FRISS we are able to unlock the power of predictive analysis to assess risk in real time. With this innovation, we can legitimize claims faster and improve the overall customer experience.”

A release noted that by leveraging FRISS’s AI and big data-powered solutions, Onlia can further reduce costs and better serve its customers.

“As a leader in insurtech in Canada, Onlia has grown in a short amount of time. I’m blown away by their capabilities already and can’t wait to further support their journey responsibly,” commented FRISS co-founder and CEO Jeroen Morrenhof.

Last month, FRISS struck a similar partnership with Gore Mutual, helping the insurer accelerate its digital transformation program. Gore Mutual is looking to shift from being a mid-size, regional carrier to a national-scale insurer by leveraging best-in-class technology and operating models – and the partnership with FRISS allows it to modernize its fraud detection capabilities.
