The list of insurance companies renewing their support for the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada’s (IBAC) Broker Identity Program (BIP) at the full partner level continues to grow, with the recent addition of Unica Insurance.

The BIP is a national advertising campaign that aims to raise awareness of the important role brokers play in the insurance sales process. Unica joins other insurance companies in sponsoring this campaign, together in the belief that brokers offer value to consumers, on top of choice and advice.

Unica’s full partner support also means that the company will contribute to IBAC’s other initiatives, which include the association’s technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and advocacy to maintain the separation of banking and insurance.

“Unica strongly believes in the value of the broker. Our target customer relies on the expertise, advocacy and in-depth product knowledge brokers provide to build personalized insurance solutions for their specific needs. Unica is very proud to continue its partnership with IBAC in supporting the Broker Identity Program,” said Unica COO David Smiley.

IBAC CEO Peter Braid praised Unica’s continued partnership, which will help support the association’s efforts in “advocating and promoting the best interests of insurance brokers and consumers.”
